Lei Lei HOI is an percussionist active in Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou. She has freelanced with the Macao Orchestra since 2004, with Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Hong Kong Philharmonic since 2007, and has been a section member of Guangzhou Symphony from 2013 to 2015. Hoi started her higher education in her hometown of Macao, where she obtained a High Diploma in Music Education from Macau Polytechnic Institute as a student of Harmen Cnossen. She then studied at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where she acquired a Diploma in Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Music after studies with Alan Cumberland, Lung Hueng Wing and Sophia Woo. In 2010 she continued her studies in the United States where she obtained a Masters in Music from Carnegie Mellon University, studying with Christopher Allen, Jeremy Branson and Paul Evans. Hoi’s music festival experience includes participation in the Australian International Summer Orchestra Institute, Canton International Summer Music Academy and Texas Music Festival. Hoi teaches at the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra, Macau Youth Symphonic Band, Macao Conservatory, Macau Baptist College, and Guangzhou Youth Orchestra.
