Li Man Hei, Le Dancaïre

Li Man Hei is a final year music student (composition) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in voice (countertenor and baritone) under the tutelage of Mr Woo Wing Ching Caleb and specialized in music composition under the tutelage of Professor Lee Wan Ki Wendy, Professor Chan Kai Young and Dr. Lo Hau Man. Man also studied choral conducting under Ms Vivian Ip and Mr Felix Yeung.


Enthusiastic about choral music, Man was the president of Chung Chi Choir and the conductor of the student choir of CUHK music department - Aqua Voice. He is currently the music director of a local male vocal ensemble - Cantus12, the conductor of KMYLS Junior Choir, the conductor of ELCHK Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School’s Show Choir and the assistant conductor of YLCC Concert Choir. He is also a choir member of Hong Kong Youth Choir and Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus.


Yu Pui Ka Peggie, Mercédès

Peggie Yu is currently a final year music student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in voice under the tutelage of Ms. Chan Siu Kwan.


Peggie is particularly passionate about vocal performances. She has performed as a soloist in Camille Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël and has appeared as The Queen of the Night from Mozart’s Magic Flute with the Chung Chi Choir. Being an active singer, Peggie is also interested in singing musicals, choral works and contemporary pieces. She has performed in Bellini’s Norma with Musica Viva Opera Chorus, as well as the guest singer in “A Golden Transcendence” Annual Concert with The Pro-Musica Society of Hong Kong’.

Apart from singing, Peggie is keen on orchestral performances. As a cellist, she had received formal orchestral training from Prof Carmen Koon in the Chung Chi Orchestra.


Li Chun Man Jermyn,

Le Remendado

Li is currently a Year 2 music student studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in voice under the tutelage of baritone Albert Lim. He has also received vocal training from tenor Hong Kong Dennis Lau, Hungarian mezzo-soprano Andrea Meláth, as well as Italian soprano Isabel Gentile and baritone Roberto Abbondanza. He is awarded the champion in the Tenor (Foreign) category in the 71st Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and obtained the Trinity ATCL Singing Recital in 2019. He has also sung as both chorus member and soloist with the Wah Yan College Kowloon Boys’ Choir in various countries, including Taiwan, Slovenia and Italy.


Chan Sze Ying, Carmen

Chan Sze Ying Emily is currently a fourth-year undergraduate student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring voice under the tutelage of Ms. Chan Siu Kwan. She performed as 1st lady in the opera The Magic flute at Chung Chi Choir Fall Concert 2021. Also, Chan performed as one of the soloist in the Oratorio de Noel in Chung Chi Choir Fall Concert 2020. She was selected to perform in the radio program The Student Concert Hall held by RTHK in 2021.


She begins her singing interest when she was participating in the Hong Kong Children’s choir at the age of 4. During Emily’s study at the university, she explores different kinds of music. She enjoys playing classical and contemporary music a lot. As a chorister , Emily has actively sung in different choirs including Chung Chi Choir, Aqua Voice, Wao Singers and Hong Kong Youth Choir. Apart from classical music, Emily also like contemporary music a lot. She participated in Wao Singers and performed in Time Beyond Time. Emily is now under the specialization of music performance at the University. She enjoys performing on stage and sharing music with the audience.


Kwok Hiu Nam Jodie, piano

Jodie is a final-year music student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong majoring in piano under the tutelage of Ms. Aywen Wang. She has also studied organ under the guidance of Dr. Anne Lam, and voice under the guidance of Mr. Caleb Woo. She obtained a licentiate diploma in Piano Recital with distinction from Trinity College London in 2017. She is currently an organist at St. Francis Church.


Jodie is an active chorister and has performed under the baton of Jonathan Cohen, Maxime Pascal and Dr. Johnny Poon. She is currently a choir member of Die Konzertisten, Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus and CU Chorus.


Shum Hei Wing Tammy, Frasquita

Tammy Shum, a student of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Music, majoring in voice under the tutelage of Ms. Margaret Yim. She started her music training as a violinist and studied violin with Ms. Amelia Chan. She has obtained the Trinity ATCL Singing Recital with distinction, and was awarded the HKSAR Talent Development Scholarship in Performing Arts in 2021, and the Hong Kong Children’s Choir Music Scholarship and Chung Chi Music Scholarship in 2020 and 2021.


Tammy is passionate about vocal performance and has appeared as Susanna from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro in Maurizio’s Opera Production, and Papagena from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in Chung Chi Choir’s Opera Scenes Production. She was featured as a soloist in Camille Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with the Chung Chi Choir. She is an award-winner in various music competitions, including the Osaka International Music Competition, The Hong Kong International Youth Performance Arts Festival and the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. She has also appeared as a soloist in Vocal Masterclass by Allen Henderson, organised by the CUHK Music Department.


As a chorister, Tammy has performed with the Opera Hong Kong Chorus, Musica Viva Chorus, Chung Chi Choir, Good Hope Singers and the Good Hope School Choir. Her choral repertoire highlights include Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana & Pagliacci, Bellini’s Norma, Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore and Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection”.
